Even though she happened to visit during the hottest week that I've had this summer in Stowe, it was a wonderful time with mom, or as the kids call her, Grandma Nancy. We went on hikes to waterfalls, explored new swimming holes, spent a stormy night out at Stave Island, checked out a movie (Hoppers) on the green up at the mountain, rode the Gondola up Mt Mansfield for a fancy lunch at the Cliff House, went indoor rock climbing with the kids, and had some lovely morning strolls. It was pretty nonstop, but we really got to do a lot, and really experience the beauty of summer in Vermont. I hope we get to all be together soon. Here are a few pictures to remember the visit....

| Lunch at the Cliff House. This is way up near the top of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. To get here you can take a ride in the gondola. We could see all the way to New Hampshire on this beautiful day! |
| Back down at the bottom of the gondola at Stowe. You can just barely see the Cliff House restaurant at the very top. |
| View from our early morning walk along the bike path. I really liked how the sun was shining in rays through the early morning mist. |

| Early birthday present for Fisher. |
| We took the kids to the rock climbing gym near Burlington, called Metro Rocks. They are naturals! |
| Here goes Dela, climbing high with no fear! |

| Catalina getting the last few pieces of the puzzle in. |
| We had a great day out at Stave. Here the kids are checking out all of Fisher's big finds, from crayfish to a giant water beetle. |
| Fisher, learning to fly. I picked him up and tossed him off the jump zone in a misty flip....his choice. |
| Me and Dela, taking in a sunset from the pier at Stave Island. |
| Everyone watching the storms roll through in the evening from the West Porch. |
| The kids are getting pretty big for this swing set I built them, but we've got a few more years out of it. |
