Tall Ship Sailing the Hawaiian Islands

For the past week I have been sailing on the three masted tall ship Makani Olu as second mate. It has been a wild adventure sailing between the islands of Oahu, Ni'ihau, and Kauai. It had been over ten years since I last visited the garden island of Kauai and I had yet to lay eyes on the 'forbidden isle' of Ni'ihau until this trip. Lehua rock, the Na Pali Coast, and Hanalei Bay were all stops set into the sail plan. We faced strong winds and big waves that these Hawaiian channels are notorious for. I have just gotten back to dry land and will have many pictures and stories to come so stay tuned!
